Revitalize Your Work Week – Take a Weekend Adventureby Jay Toberman
Want to be on a high feeling when you return from your weekend? Let’s go skydiving!Your work week will
be energetic as you look forward to your skydiving adventure. What can you expect?Once at your skydiving
location, you will begin by learning the art of skydiving. For about $175,
you will learn everything from packing a parachute to making your first
jump, which they guarantee. Wonder why they don’t guarantee a second
jump? However, when that plane starts its takeoff, nothing will help the fluttering in your stomach. You watch the altimeter rise, 2000, 4,000, 8,000 knowing that at 9,000 feet the door will open and out you go. You look in the eyes of the other skydivers and a genuine camaraderie comes in focus. Finally, the instructor taps you on the shoulder and it’s time to jump. The door opens, a rush of wind immobilizes you as you are thrust out the plane. You try to open your
eyes as you scream during the free fall. The parachute opens and again
you are thrust up while your stomach is left below. Eyes are now wide
open as you make your descent to the ground. The attached instructor is
constantly trying to calm you down so you can enjoy the magnificence of
where you are. The ground is ever so fast approaching but you now want to enjoy more of the fascination of what you have just accomplished. Once on the ground, a state of euphoria surrounds you. This feeling will transcend to the coming work week and everyone will wonder what that constant smile is all about.
