Birthday Decorations that Bring Joy to the Workplace

This was sent to us by one of our subscribers.

At work there is a head secretary, who is very creative and decorates the other employees’ cubicles on their birthdays.

Her decorations are very elaborate. They follow a theme that applies to the employees’ tastes or hobbies.

They include:

  • A big homemade birthday card
  • Overhead streamers
  • Balloons
  • Pictures
  • Glitter
  • Knickknacks

Anyone passing by notices whose birthday it is and admires the decorations. It is a real morale booster.

Birthdays are special, and decorations create enthusiasm and a happy atmosphere at work.

Joke of the Week

At the newspaper where I work, we often get calls from people asking us to photograph their fantastic gardens. One day, after an especially long winter, a man called to tell us about his fabulous amaryllis plant.

I took my scribbled notes to the photo editor for his consideration, and a few minutes later I heard him on the phone, cheerfully saying, “So, I understand you’ve been growing an armadillo.”
