What does your office space say about you?

Invest in cubicle organizers and small art pieces that will reflect your personality, give warmth to -your space- and give the impression that you have taste and are in control of your -home away from home-.

Studies have shown that an organized and serene space can increase productivity as well as keep your stress levels low.

Ask your management what the policy is on nails and fasteners in walls. Some alternative fasteners work equally well. Many 3M products even avoid peeling paint when removed. Small artwork pieces will fasten to the wall with straight pens that spare your walls the unsightly holes left by nails.

Most offices discourage candles, but what about potpourri? A clean, fresh, and mild scent that is not heavily fruity or flowery will give your area an inviting aroma.

Small potted plants in beautiful containers can be a breath of fresh air, especially if you are among the -window challenged-. Don’t have a green thumb? Try a beautiful life-like floral accent bush instead. Take ownership of your space and make it reflect your personality.

The Container Store has wonderful items for organizing small spaces, but if your budget is small, Target, Wal-Mart and other discount chains also sell wonderful tools to help get you organized. Taking it one step further, you can team up with co-oworkers if you share common space and make it a -Trading Spaces- type of project.

Be creative, have fun and get organized.

Joke of the Week

Learning Tricks

A talking horse shows up at Dodger Stadium and persuades the manager to let him try out for the team.

In his first at bat, the horse rips the ball deep into right field—then just stands there.

“Run! Run!” the manager screams.

“Run?” says the horse. “If I could run, I’d be in the Kentucky Derby.”
