Employee Morale Activity:
Employee Recipe Books Make Delicious Gifts
This is a delicious idea that involves all of your employees. Everyone has a favorite recipe or two. Something they may be “known” for. Making a recipe book thaat features employees’ recipes will create a lot of interaction and excitement. What’s more. People love seeing their name in print, so when you name them, put their name in the title: “Susie’s Stew, or “Joe’s famous Chili” etc. Here’s how to gather recipes and create your recipe book:Don’t wait and try to do it all at once. Start now collecting recipes for your company’s recipe book. Hold monthly pot-luck lunches during the year. People bring in their recipes typed on a letter size paper with the recipe name and the contributor’s name on the top of the page and a 1-1/2 inch margin on the left.
Since many people are watching their weight, and want delicious recipes for healthy food, ask employees to put a heart or a star next to the titles of recipes that are low fat, low salt and low sugar.
Compile the recipes into loose leaf notebooks using dividers for types of food. Your local office supply store or printer can make copies for everyone. Give the recipe books as employee gifts at the end of the year.
This activity will provide a morale booster every month and will result in a low-cost gift that will not only be used, but will also be treasured through the years.
