Employee Morale Activity

Gratitude Turkeys

Showing gratitude to your employees can be fun during this Thanksgiving Season. With just a few items from a craft store, you can show everyone how much you appreciate them. Employees write one positive quality for each co-worker on a separate feather made out of construction paper. Then they can have fun going around the office sticking the feathers into the turkey body on each employees desk! This activity will help employees focus on their co-workers positive qualities and make everyone feel grateful.

Items you will need for Gratitude Turkeys:

1. Take green floral oasis foam which is packaged in half circles. This is available at florists shops or crafts stores.

2. Cut turkey-like feathers from colorful construction paper. Find a picture of a turkey and copy the head of the turkey in colorful paper, cut out the head and glue to a pipe cleaner and attach to the turkey body.

3. Glue pipe cleaners to the back of construction paper feathers

4. Use lots of feathers for each turkey body.

Joke of the Week

An elderly gentleman had serious hearing problems for a number of years. He went to the doctor and

the doctor was able to have him fitted for a set of hearing aids that allowed the gentleman to hear 100%.

The elderly gentleman went back in a month to the doctor and the doctor said, “Your hearing is perfect. Your family must be really pleased that you can hear again.”

The gentleman replied, “Oh, I haven’t told my family yet. I just sit around and listen to the conversations. I’ve changed my will three times.”
