Q. What does a vintner produce? (Answer at the end of this newsletter.)

Employee Morale

Satisfaction Basket

Contributed by Yvonne Dunbar RN BSN

I am a nurse manager at a small community medical center in New Jersey.

We have several recognition programs at our facility however the one that I favor most is our satisfaction basket.

Whenever a staff member has been recognized for going above and beyond they get the opportunity to select a gift from the basket and have their picture taken and placed on the satisfaction board.

Joke of the Week

An on-campus workshop for procrastinators at my university sounded like just what I needed. Arriving for the first meeting, I took a seat in the busy waiting area.

After a few minutes, I decided to ask at the reception desk. Perhaps I had mistaken the time? The date?

Nope. The first meeting had been postponed.
