Story Telling Month

This is a month to captivate yourself and others with stories.

Children aren’t the only ones that love to listen to stories. Adults are captivated by stories, too. Telling stories connect people in many ways. The story teller gets to express emotions that he or she may not feel comfortable expressing in normal conversation. Everybody listening shares the excitement, suspense, humor, pride, joy, etc. that the story teller expresses. Listeners may relate part of the story to their own lives, thus helping them deal with a similar situation.

Courage Stories

* Co-workers share stories of challenges they overcame, and how they did it. These can either be workplace challenges or personal courage experiences.

Smile Stories

Since October 4th is world Smile Day, tell stories about things or events that have made you smile. Give everyone a “Smiley Gift” of a mouse pad, mug, magnet, sheet of stickers, etc in our online store at:

http://www.zazzle.com/confidencecenter*

* Share stories about favorite vacations, hobbies, interests, etc.

* Families can tell stories about relatives in past generations.

* Tell stories about your happiest memories, your most embarrassing moments, or about interesting people you have met.

Halloween Stories

* Make up scary stories for Halloween. One person starts a story and the next person continues it, each person saying one sentence.
