Trivia Question of the Week

Q. Who wrote the music, Rhapsody in Blue? (Answer at the end of this newsletter.)

Employee Morale

Spring into Spring with Flowers

Spring has sprung. The trees are beginning to leaf out (at least in Texas) and spring flowers are blooming.

Whenever you have a celebration, fresh flowers help make it special.

Bring a bouquet of spring flowers to work to celebrate the beginning of spring.

Ask employees to bring in flowers from their gardens. Place them where everyone can see them.

Notice the -Wow- effect when people see real flowers and how they help create a cheerful atmosphere.

Answer to This Week’s Trivia Question

Q. Who wrote the music, Rhapsody in Blue?

A. George Gershwin

Joke of the Week

When I took my car to the garage, the service manager got out the repair forms to be completed and asked for my name. I gave him my first name, which he wrote down.

I noticed there was only a small space for the surname and, because of the length of my hyphenated last name, I cautioned the young man, “You’d better get prepared; it’s long.”

Before I could say another word, he had written “Long” in the surname space.
