Word of the Week Ideas

Each week we list the Word of the Week at the top of our newsletter. For example – this week’s word is – Perspective.

Here are some ideas on how to use the Word.

* Post the Word of the week on the bulletin board.

* Leave the Word on everyone’s voice mail.

* Email the Word to all employees

* Write the Word at the top of a poster, and ask employees to write their thoughts or draw a picture about it.

* At an office meeting ask employees to tell about an experience that relates to the word of the week.

* At an office meeting ask employees to tell how this quality could be used at your office.

Give everyone who participates a reward.

When you focus on winning qualities it keeps your mind on the positive and helps create a more positive atmosphere in the workplace.

Answer to This Week’s Trivia Question

Q. At the conclusion of the Tour de France bike race, who is awarded the Polka Dot Jersey?

A. The strongest climber in the mountain stages of the race. It is also called the King of the Mountains Jersey.

Joke of the Week

An applicant was filling out a job application. When he came to the question, “Have you ever been arrested?” He answered, “No.”

The next question, intended for people who had answered in the affirmative to the last one, was “Why?”

The applicant answered it anyway: “Never got caught.”
