Caring Heart Notes<\/h3>\n

At our community, our employees are encouraged to write a Caring Heart note when they see another employee do a good deed for someone else.<\/p>\n

The “Love Notes” are put in a locked Heart Shaped Box for a month. At the end of the month, at the Employee All Associates Meeting, a “Caring Heart” note is randomly selected and read to all. Along with the recognition, a gift card is given and a note of appreciation.<\/p>\n

All the rest of the Caring Heart Notes are stapled on a pretty ribbon and draped in the employee lounge for all to read.<\/p>\n

This has been a tradition since 1996 and it promotes good will and appreciation to all.<\/p>\n

This is a great idea to use for Valentines Day.<\/p>\n

Reaching the end of a job interview, the Human Resources Officer asks a young engineer fresh out of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, “And what starting salary are you looking for?”<\/p>\n

The engineer replies, “In the region of $125,000 a year, depending on the benefits package.”<\/p>\n

The interviewer inquires, “Well, what would you say to a package of five weeks vacation, 14 paid holidays, full medical and dental, company matching retirement fund to 50% of salary, and a company car leased every two years, say, a red Corvette?”<\/p>\n

The engineer sits up straight and says, “Wow! Are you kidding?”<\/p>\n

The interviewer replies, “Yeah, but you started it.”<\/p>\n
