(Answer at the end of this newsletter.)<\/p>\n<h3>Employee Morale Activity<\/h3>\n<h3>Presidents Day<\/h3>\n<p>Presidents day in the USA is Monday Feb. 17, 2014<\/p>\n<p>You will need a list of past presidents and information about each one for these activities. It can be found at www.ipl.org\/div\/potus\/<\/p>\n<p>Pop Presidents Quiz<\/p>\n<p>At a meeting give an on the spot, pop quiz to see who can list the most U.S. presidents. Give a prize to the winner.<\/p>\n<p>Presidents Appreciation Day<\/p>\n<p>After your Pop Quiz, pass a list of the presidents around, and let each person choose one president by writing his\/her name next to it on your list.<\/p>\n<p>Then announce that you will have a Presidents Appreciation Day.<\/p>\n<p>Speeches<\/p>\n<p>On Presidents Appreciation Day, each employee will come to work with a 2- 4 minuted speech on his\/her chosen president including what special quality that president had that is also important to success at your company &#8211; such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>courage,<\/li>\n<li>persistence,<\/li>\n<li>creativity, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Poster Contest<\/p>\n<p>Give each person a poster board on which to create a colorful poster about their chosen President and the quality that president stood for.<\/p>\n<p>At the Appreciation Day celebration the employee gives the speech without revealing the name of the president, and then gives the participants 30 seconds to guess the name of the president.<\/p>\n<p>The president&#8217;s name is revealed by showing the poster. People who guess right get a small gift or candy bar.<\/p>\n<p>Create a Patriotic Atmosphere<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Decorate the room with Red, White, and Blue.<\/li>\n<li>Display the American flag.<\/li>\n<li>Play patriotic music.<\/li>\n<li>Sing patriotic songs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Answer to This Week&#8217;s Trivia Question<\/h4>\n<p>Q. Beagle<\/p>\n<h4>Joke of the Week<\/h4>\n<p>When a co-worker opened his express checkout line at the supermarket where we work, his first customer bought a large bag of dog food.
